Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Loremaster ("the Service"), operated at loremaster.org, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Loremaster is a tabletop role-playing game companion that provides AI-assisted campaign management, character creation, and narrative generation tools for game masters and players.

3. User Accounts

You sign in using Google OAuth. By authenticating, you grant us access to your Google profile name, email address, and profile image for account creation. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence (powered by Anthropic) to generate narrative content, character descriptions, and other creative material. AI-generated content is provided "as is" and may contain inaccuracies or unexpected output. You are solely responsible for reviewing and using AI-generated content. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI output.

5. Payment and Billing

Certain features may require a paid subscription, processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Stripe's terms of service also apply to payment processing.

6. User Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you create (campaign notes, character descriptions, uploaded images). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to exploit, abuse, or circumvent AI generation limits
• Upload malicious content, malware, or engage in harassment
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's operation
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data or content.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
