This being a lexicon of words used in the Forgotten Realms (drawn from several languages—including the tongues of monsters), as well as region-specific terms, phrases and sayings.

Everyone: please feel free to post words and I'll add them to the list as we go. With your help this list will become awesome.

    Thanks Matt for the feedback.

Realmslore is a lot like a fractal: the thinner you slice it the more details you get. This is why there are no absolutes in the Realms.

Yes, those would count, though I intend to focus on new words and phrases over stuff found in material that's already been in print.

    RE: Candlekep:
I know the thread of which you speak. I've been contributing to it for several months--I'm Jeremy Grenemyer at Candlekeep.

I haven't forgotten about the compilations you asked me about either, Sanishiver, at Candlekeep. In fact, I've now progressed through the most recent entries you've made.

    More later.

For me things have gotten a little too nasty at Candlekeep, so I intend to make my contributions on Loremaster from now on.
I love this idea! I hope we can really fill something out. Maybe we can get a finalized compilation after awhile.

    Piwafwi
    Drow meaning for cloak.

I need help with the citation. I believe Homeland was the first mention? I don't remember it in The Crystal Shard but it could have been.
