    Forgotten Realms content 2013

I am starting to prepare for some heavy writing in the future and I have some great ideas about what I want to do within the Forgotten Realms. That said, it means little if I don't at least solicit what others want to read. Are there any requests? Keep in mind that none of this is in stone. I can, in no way, guarantee I'll get any assignments, let alone write what you suggest

Two words: Returned Abeir! Mainly because after 5E hits the shelves and the 'Sundering' happens WotC will most likely shelve the entire aspect altogether. More info on the people there, or the cities or something that's unique and fun. It's different and diverges a bit from traditional Realms material bt that's what makes it so open. The lore is just 'begging' to be detailed. Or if not Reurned Abeir then Akanûl. Something great before is completely obliterated.

What Diffan said. Specifically, I'd love to get more information on the Dusk Ports of Laerakond.

As for the Realms proper (post-Sundering, right?), give me things in fives: five new holds, five new mercenary companies, five new trading costers, five new cabals of schemers and tyrants, and five new ruins to explore.
Realmslore is a lot like a fractal: the thinner you slice it the more details you get. This is why there are no absolutes in the Realms.

Should you find the answer to a Realmslore question, you haven't established the truth of anything. Rather, you've found a way to open a door that was previously closed to you.

Once you step through that door and have a look around, you'll find a new room with more doors on the other side, waiting for you to figure out how to open them.

(And people wonder why adventurers go poking around in dungeons!)

    For 2013

I'd like to see two things Matt.

Mulhorand and how the century of dark ages (ie time on Abeir) takes its toll on the society.

Dwarves I want much more about them, other than the section on the dwarvern cities in Silver Marches there has been a dearth of info about them since second edition. They seem to play second fiddle to elves both surface and underground kinds in both novels and sourcebooks

I would love to draft an article about FR Dwarves. I think it's due. Hopefully a pitch will pique their interest over there at WotC

How about drafting something for dwarves and gnomes? They've been the "forgotten folk" for long enough, thinks I.

Dwarves are forgotten and too often are just getting their butts kicked by races that are weaker and stupider. Smart, tough dwarves is my vote. Good luck with the gnome thing, i love a great 2nd edition gnome illusionist but there are not enough fans of the race in general it seems.

I would love to see a write up like the cormyr article for Damara, showing the Dragonsbane lineage. In fact I think an article covering a couple of Royal lines would be great. Including the Kendrik's from Moonshae.

Or how about a write up about how individual communities of Elves, Dwarves, and Gnomes exist within established Powers like Cormyr, Waterdeep, and other places like that. What roles do Elves and Dwarves commonly fill in Cormyrean politics. Are there any Dwarven Nobles in cormyr? IN waterdeep? If so how are they treated by racial nobility? Are they then considered the status of 'human' nobles or is a Dwarven baron in Suzail given the same respect as a Dwarven Clan Leader when he goes back to the Great Rift or Mithral Hall. How would a high ranking Cormyrean Moon Elf noble be treated in Evereska? In Evermeet?

I would also prefer edition neutral as much as possible, along the likes of the Cormyrean Royalty article. THat article alone is what got me to sign on with DDI once again.
