A while back in the ddi magazines, namely the items of Drizzt and co, they said the unique items could not be made with the create magical item ritual...


so My question is, what would happen if J edgar Hoover creates two magical weapon, one a sword with +5 radiant and the other +4 flaming dagger. and then Mr. hoover uses the transfer enchantment ritual on the dagger and transfers the enchantment to the +5 radiant sword.

would the sword at taht point contain both enchantments and would it be functional as a +5 radiant and +4 flamming longsword?

As per the rules, it is fairly clear. You can transfer an enchantment to an item that already contains a lower-level enchantment, but the receiving item’s previous magic is lost.
