Don't get me wrong, I actually like ENWorld, a lot. Their forums can be a lot of fun. And I think they really have a very good community. Sometimes their moderation is a little... draconic. However, I think it is because their moderation is so, that they have such good forums and community.

WotC has some good forums too but I don't visit them as often, specially because their moderation is so spotty and I'd say inconsistent. I find too much trolling and hate at the WotC forums, and a little less so at ENWorld. Not that it's non-existent, just that it's kept at a level that I don't feel like I've been vomited on every time I visit there.

At synDCon we should get a group together and play a game of Castle Turd.

I always look at the Specter mini from DDM and think "sewage elemental":

Castle Turd is how some residents jokingly refer to the sewage treatment plant in the capitol city of X. The place is literally a monster-infested poophole, and normally there's no reason to go there. However, the King's daughter has lost her engagement ring down the drain. You have been dispatched to Castle Turd to retrieve that ring before the king or her betrothed find out. Can you find the gem in the ****pile? Can you save the vital political alliance that hinges on this wedding? Will you ever be able to wash the smell from your clothes? This is a one-off adventure for game system Y.

Of course. The author of such a module is bound to be elevated to demigod status, known far and wide for his genius in promoting fecal themes in fantasy role play. Heck, this whole thread should be graven in stone and memorialized forever for merely heralding the revolution. We've had other horrible themes introduced in to the genre by FATAL and RaHoWa, and now it's time to put turds in to the mix.
